Neoprene is an inert material which does not react with chemicals such as oils an grease commonly used on fishing reels or any sprays used on rod guides against corrosion resistance. Neoprene is also resistant to weathering, especially from UV rays which may cause flexing or cracking, making it an ideal material for protecting your valuable gear.
